GrosGeMüRöSch GmbH renovated a residential building with approximately 2,600 square meters of floor space in Berlin through a targeted energy-efficiency upgrade of the street-facing facade, including a complete window replacement. Purpose Green handled the planning, energy consulting, and project management within just six months—from initial planning to nearly complete implementation.
The project achieved approximately 14% energy savings, approximately 15% CO₂ reduction, and improved the energy efficiency rating from F to E, all while the renovation was carried out while the building remained occupied.
Particularly noteworthy: the structured and efficient project management, as well as the noticeable improvement in the quality of life for the residents.
The renovation of Baumschulenstraße 103 was challenging in several respects: an occupied building, sensitive use by the daycare center in the courtyard, and a clear timeframe for weatherproofing the building envelope before winter. The decisive factor for us was structured and reliable project management that combined technical quality, cost-effectiveness, and consideration for the users. Purpose Green accompanied the project from start to finish, from planning and energy and subsidy consulting to construction management. Particularly noteworthy are the stringent organization, the flexible adaptation of the project structure during implementation, and the consistent quality assurance. The implementation within six months while adhering to the budget and subsidy strategy contributed significantly to the successful realization of the project.

GrosGeMüRöSch GmbH was tasked with carrying out an energy-efficiency retrofit on a residential building comprising 31 residential units and 2 commercial units. The street-facing facade and all windows required extensive renovation. Special challenges arose due to the fact that the building was occupied and the sensitive nature of the use in the courtyard (a daycare center), which necessitated heightened safety standards and careful consideration.
Purpose Green developed a streamlined project plan that covered all services, from planning and energy consulting to project management. The focus was on rapid and structured implementation: within just six months, a contractor was selected, the construction contract was finalized with the client, and the measures were nearly fully implemented.
Purpose Green placed particular emphasis on quality assurance during the construction phase. Following the initial color sampling on the facade, the shades were proactively adjusted and resampled to ensure an optimal final result—a standard that is often overlooked in practice.
Thanks to Purpose Green’s structured project management and one-stop-shop approach, the project was completed on schedule despite challenging conditions.
Tenants are seeing immediate benefits from these measures: One resident reported sleeping much better thanks to the improved sound insulation provided by the triple-pane windows, as well as reduced heating costs due to the facade insulation (heating setting 3 instead of 5).
