Energy-efficient refurbishment of a residential and commercial building
The property, which is in need of refurbishment and consists of 24 residential units and two commercial units, has a total usable area of 1,700 square meters. The refurbishment plan includes the installation of an air-water heat pump including a buffer storage tank with a networked control system and a photovoltaic system on 120 square meters of the roof area. This relatively simple package of measures alone (without facade insulation or new windows and doors) will result in a 59% reduction in final energy consumption and an improvement to energy efficiency class C (from F). At the same time, CO₂ emissions will decrease by approximately 24 percent to approximately 60,000 kg CO₂ per year.
Thanks to Purpose Green as a full-service partner, the owners were able to implement an efficient and cost-effective energy refurbishment. Targeted measures such as an air-to-water heat pump and a photovoltaic system significantly reduced the final energy consumption. At the same time, the property's value was noticeably increased and the project costs were reduced through funding.
