Energy-efficient refurbishments

Webinar: Energy refurbishment – necessary evil or opportunity?

The topics at a glance:

  • PropTech: How modern technologies are revolutionizing the real estate world
  • Energy-efficient refurbishments: Practical structural measures with maximum success
  • Cost savings and subsidies: Benefits for investors and owners at a glance

1. The building sector: A CO₂ hotspot

The building sector accounts for 40% of global CO₂ emissions. In Germany, real estate accounts for 35% of final energy consumption. And to achieve climate targets, nine out of ten buildings are to be renovated by 2045, 45% of which by 2033. Climate change is increasing the pressure to act.

2. refurbishments: Shaping the future, creating value

Energy-efficient refurbishments offer more than just climate protection – they reduce heating costs, increase property values by up to 30%, and secure a competitive advantage for owners in the real estate market. Furthermore, energy-efficient refurbishments are key to meeting EU climate targets.

3. The challenges of implementation

refurbishments are complex: numerous stakeholders, rising construction costs (+11% annually) and confusing funding options require expertise and strategic management.

4. Purpose Green: Solutions from a single source

Purpose Green accompanies you from analysis to implementation. From digital ESG reports and consulting on KfW/BAFA funding programs to project management, we ensure an efficient refurbishment.

5. Case study: Renovation of an apartment building

The refurbishment plan for a property with 24 residential units and two commercial units and a total usable area of 1,700 includes the installation of an air-to-water heat pump including a buffer storage tank with a networked control system and a photovoltaic system on 120 of the roof area. This relatively simple package of measures alone (without facade insulation or new windows and doors) will result in savings of 59% and an improvement to energy efficiency class C (from F) – assuming the same user behavior and the same climatic conditions. At the same time, CO₂ emissions will decrease by approximately 24% to approximately 60,000 kg CO₂ per year.

Conclusion: Use refurbishments as an opportunity!

When done correctly, energy-efficient refurbishments are less of a challenge than an economic and ecological opportunity. Purpose Green makes this transformation efficient, sustainable, and easy.
