Digital solution for ESG & construction: interview with CTO Anton

In an interview with CTO Anton Levitsky, you'll gain exclusive insights into the future of the Green+ Portal. Learn how our interdisciplinary team is working to drive the digital transformation of the real estate industry. The vision: a central digital hub with digital building twins that intelligently links all relevant information and provides real recommendations for action. Anton shares exciting details on the technical implementation and offers an outlook on upcoming developments in automation, refurbishment planning, and AI-supported solutions.

Which technological trends do you currently see as particularly relevant for our industry?

The energy and ESG industry is currently undergoing extremely dynamic change. New regulatory requirements, market changes, and technological developments are occurring in ever shorter cycles. This poses an enormous challenge for tech teams: If we take months to develop a new feature, there's a risk that the requirements will have already changed in the meantime.

That's why rapid value creation is more important than ever. We're developing a complex system whose most important feature is its adaptability . Our customers don't want to wait several weeks until we've adapted the calculation logic to new market conditions, for example – they expect immediate response.

At the same time, we are observing rapid digitalization in the real estate, energy, and construction sectors. Processes that were previously manual or distributed across different systems are now being consolidated into digital platforms. Artificial intelligence is also playing an increasingly important role in this, from the automated analysis of large amounts of data to decision-making support. We are systematically integrating these technologies to offer our customers even greater relevance and speed.

The Energy Light Report in the Green+ portal offers a precise initial assessment of the current energy status of properties.

What is your vision for the technological development of our company in the next 1-2 years?

I wouldn't call it my personal vision – it's more of a shared direction that the founders and the entire management team have agreed on and that we're all excited about.

Our goal is to further develop the Green+ Portal into a central digital hub for property management. In doing so, we create digital twins of buildings that consolidate all relevant information. Our vision is to provide this information at exactly the right time and in the right format so our clients can make informed strategic decisions.

Our clients don't want to use five different tools for energy consulting, ESG strategy, refurbishment planning, and construction site monitoring. They want all their data in one place – intelligently linked, with real recommendations for action. That's exactly what we're currently developing.

What are you most proud of when you think about our Green+ portal?

The answer is quite clear to me: the team behind the Green+ Portal . In over 15 years of professional experience, I have rarely experienced such a level of genuine, functioning interdisciplinary collaboration .

At our company, software developers work side by side with ESG managers, energy consultants, and architects – all with the goal of delivering real added value to our clients. This form of collaboration is not only exceptional, it is also a key success factor. By relying on in-house expertise, we have been able to develop solutions that are precisely tailored to our clients' needs.

How do our products ensure that we stay one step ahead of our customers' needs?

A key factor is our interdisciplinary team. Our experts from energy, ESG, and construction are involved in product development from the very beginning. This allows us to identify trends and market changes early on – and implement them directly in the product.

We've also designed our software to be evolving quickly and flexibly . When requirements change, we can respond in the shortest possible time. This agility makes all the difference and helps us stay one step ahead.

What was the biggest technical challenge in developing the Green+ portal so far – and how did you solve it?

One of the biggest technical challenges was the complete automation of the Energy Light Report – a report that provides an initial energy assessment of a building and calculates various refurbishment packages.

To identify the best packages of measures, we first had to create a virtual model of the building's current condition. Then we simulated all possible combinations of individual measures and calculated their impacts—a huge computational effort. Initially, this required up to 15 million individual calculations per report .

Thanks to the close collaboration between our developers and energy experts, we were able to significantly optimize this process. Today, we continue to calculate millions of data points—but much more efficiently and quickly. This wouldn't have been possible without this team effort.

What can our users expect in the future?

Our goal is clear: We want to provide our customers with all the digital tools they need to modernize and sustainably operate their properties.

This includes:

  • Further automation in energy and ESG analysis,
  • Intelligent support in refurbishment planning,
  • Integration with construction processes and service providers,
  • Even deeper and more contextual insights into building data,
  • And in the future, even recommendations by AI – always based on real data.

In short: We want to digitally accompany and optimize the entire life cycle of the property.
